Description

Traditional training tells you what to think - ENGAGED experiences help you discover it for yourself.

ENGAGED is a series of interactive learning activities developed by Cenex to turn complex transport, energy and sustainability topics into engaging, collaborative experiences. Using serious games, simulations and facilitated challenges, participants learn by doing, discussing and making decisions together.

Rather than sitting through presentations, teams take part in hands-on activities that explore real-world problems, reveal hidden trade-offs and encourage systems thinking. Participants must work together, adapt their strategies and respond to changing circumstances, creating memorable learning experiences that often generate valuable conversations long after the session ends.

The result is a deeper understanding of complex topics, stronger collaboration between teams, and increased confidence when making decisions in rapidly evolving sectors such as electric vehicles, energy systems and sustainability.

Why take part?

  • Learn through participation rather than passive listening

  • Explore complex topics in an engaging, memorable way

  • Build collaboration across teams and disciplines

  • Develop systems thinking and strategic decision-making skills

  • Create a safe environment to test ideas and challenge assumptions

  • Align stakeholders around a shared understanding of key issues

ENGAGE activities are ideal for organisations working in transport, energy, sustainability, infrastructure, planning, procurement, policy and innovation.

Recent ENGAGED Workshops

  • Power Play: How the Energy System Really Works (and Why It Matters) - A fast-paced simulation that explores how the UK energy system operates and the challenges of balancing generation, demand, cost and emissions. Participants work together to understand the connections between transport, electricity and policy while responding to real-world scenarios.

  • Cyclum Vitae: Exploring the True Impact of EVs & Infrastructure - An interactive board game that brings Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to life. Teams explore the environmental impacts of products from raw materials through to end-of-life, uncovering the trade-offs that influence sustainability decisions.

  • Bespoke Experiences - These examples showcase just two of our ENGAGED activities. Cenex can also develop bespoke interactive experiences tailored to your audience, objectives and sector challenges.

Whether you're exploring transport decarbonisation, energy systems, infrastructure planning or sustainability, we can create engaging learning experiences that turn complex topics into practical insight and meaningful discussion.

Perfect for teams involved in transport planning, procurement, policy, and sustainability.
