About the Qualification
The transition to electric transport is creating new opportunities across automotive, energy, infrastructure, local government and industry. EVIP brings together electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, energy, business models and transition planning, giving you a broad understanding of the EV sector and how its different parts connect.
Whether you're new to the sector or looking to build on your existing knowledge, EVIP is designed to give you the confidence to contribute to EV projects and programmes.

EVIP is designed for people who want to understand how vehicles, charging infrastructure and strategy fit together in the real world. But you don't need to be an EV specialist or have a technical background. EVIP is designed for:

EVIP combines self-paced online learning with live cohort sessions, allowing you to fit your learning around work and other commitments.
You'll start with a live session, complete the online learning at your own pace, then come back together with your cohort to discuss real-world applications, share experiences and explore next steps.

Industry Recognition and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The EVIP Qualification is being developed as an industry-recognised programme that provides a structured pathway for building knowledge across electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and transition planning.
As a CPD-approved provider, the qualification will be certified as Structured / Active Continuing Professional Development (CPD), providing verifiable learning hours that can contribute towards professional development requirements.
The qualification supports both individual career development and organisational capability building in the rapidly growing EV sector.
